My Everyday Skincare Routine

When it comes to skincare (similarly to my diet) I like to keep it as natural as possible. I stay completely clear of any products that test on animals and will only use them if they are cruelty free. I've used the same products for years simply because they work like a treat for my skin! Here is my everyday skincare routine and the products I use

MORNING
The first thing I do in a morning is wash my hands and dampen some cotton wool. TIP: Don't use cotton wool dry as it is an irritant to your skin. I then take a 5 pence sized dollop of the Weleda Purifying lotion onto the tips of my fingers using light circular motions to gently massage into my skin, taking the damp cotton wool I will clean off any dirt left on my skin from the night before. Next I put The Body Shop's Hemp moisturiser onto my skin and following this, apply the Witch Blemish Stick to any blemishes I might have. Finally I apply a lip balm of my choice to my lips and Voila! Ready to go.

NIGHT
Firstly, I begin by removing any makeup I've had on from the day. To do this I start by washing my hands, I then squeeze a 10pence sized dollop of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish lotion onto my fingers and in light circular motions start massaging onto my skin (avoiding my eyes). I will then wait a minute or so for the cleanser to properly work itself into my skin and then rinse off using the polish cloth (or any muslin wash cloth) which has been soaked in warm water. I will then quickly rinse my face for a second time in freezing cold water to close my pores. Following this, I grab a face wipe (dampening it first with water) to gently remove my mascara. I personally don't like using a face wipe without dampening it first as it feels to rough to use on my eyelashes for this, (and many other reasons) will never use them to remove any other part of my makeup. I then repeat the steps of my Morning Routine and get cosily into bed! :)
